These terms and conditions set out the agreement between the Student (you) and EXL Driving School (abn 13641459376). By booking a driving lesson and/or purchasing driving packages with EXL Driving School you are bound by these terms and conditions.
A student or student representative may book lessons by phoning the owner of EXL Driving School on 0402 119 322 or by booking enquiry via the website contact us page.
The standard lesson time is 60 minutes though longer lesson times are available. The start time will be agreed at the time of booking. The start/pickup location will commence at a pre-determined location. Any alternative end locations need to be agreed with the instructor at the time of booking the lesson.
Purchasing of driving lessons
All lessons and driving packages must be paid in full prior to the first lesson commencing.
Driving packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Lessons are non transferable and non refundable. Any unused lessons from driving packages are non refundable. Gift vouchers expire 12 months from date of purchase.

Rescheduling and cancelling driving lessons
EXL Driving School requires you to give 48 hours (TWO Days) notice to reschedule or cancel a driving lesson. This is to ensure we can avoid gaps in our diary and accommodate other students training requirements. If less than 24 hours (ONE Day) notice is given the lesson will be cancelled and the student will forfeit the full lesson fee. Notice must be given within business hours. Emails, texts or voicemails received after hours will be processed the next business day.
Business Hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm
If you are more than 10 minutes late for a driving lesson EXL Driving School reserve the right to cancel the lesson and the student will forfeit the full lesson fee.
EXL Driving School reserves the right to cancel a driving lesson due to unforeseen circumstances. This may include heavy traffic, vehicle breakdowns or accidents or extreme weather events. A new driving lesson will be arranged.
Students Code of Conduct
Students are to adhere to the following conditions:
Carry with them their current driving licence and adhere to any conditions on it.
Mobile phones are to be switched off.
Appropriate footwear is to be worn, i.e. no thongs, sandals or high heels. Bare feet are acceptable though flat-soled enclosed shoes are recommended.
Must follow the directions of the instructor.
Must not smoke whilst driving.
Must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol whilst driving.
Must not be abusive or aggressive to the driving instructor.
Students will be held responsible for any traffic infringement notices that arise whilst they were driving a vehicle provided by EXL Driving School.
Duty of Disclosure
Students must inform their instructor if:
Their licence becomes expired or suspended.
They have a medical condition that may affect their ability to drive a motor vehicle safely.
They are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Use of own vehicles
EXL Driving School may allow lessons to be conducted in a student’s own vehicle. This will be at the sole discretion of the instructor. Vehicles will need to be in good mechanical condition with current rego and be fully insured.
EXL Driving School will teach a student the skills and knowledge to safely drive a motor car and prepare them for their driving test. However it is impossible for EXL Driving School to claim or predict that a student will receive a successful result when they do undertake their test.
